Portuguese vineyards have been producing wonderful wines since ancient times and know how to turn their exceptional grape varieties into world class wines. Alentejo wine is produced from vineyards covering sun drenched plains. The wines are fruity and uniquely flavoured, mostly whites but also reds.
Douro wine originates from the same region as port. The wines are mostly red and popular around the world, they are full bodied and rich with flavour.
Dão wine is produced within a mountainous region, protecting the grapes with a gentle climate. The wines are mostly red and full of character and colour.
Vinho Verde wines are young wines without any ageing. They are light and slightly fizzy, most are white wines, but there are also red and more rarely rosé.
